The Role
As an Asbestos Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting asbestos surveys across a wide range of property types nationwide while maintaining the highest standards of technical compliance, quality, and health & safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Management Surveys and Refurbishment & Demolition (R&D) Surveys across domestic, commercial, industrial, and public-sector properties.
- Conduct asbestos re-inspection surveys.
- Collect representative bulk samples in accordance with approved procedures.
- Accurately record survey findings using electronic survey software and tablets.
- Produce site sketches, plans, and photographic records where required.
- Ensure all work complies with HSG264 guidance and current asbestos legislation.
- Complete dynamic risk assessments and follow site-specific RAMS.
- Maintain accurate records and deliver high-quality reports.
- Support internal quality assurance and audit processes.
Essential RequirementsQualifications
- BOHS P402 – Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings (or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years' asbestos surveying experience.
- Experience surveying domestic, commercial, industrial, and public-sector properties.
- Strong knowledge of HSG264 and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
- Proven experience identifying a wide range of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs).
- Experience using electronic data capture systems and asbestos surveying software.
- Experience working in high-risk environments such as schools, manufacturing facilities, social housing, or local authority properties.
- Experience managing client relationships and project delivery.
Skills
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Good organisational and time-management abilities.
- Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- BOHS P403 and/or P404.
- BOHS P405 – Management of Asbestos in Buildings.
- CSCS Card.
- Additional Health & Safety certifications.
- Experience working within a UKAS-accredited quality management environment.
- Experience using TEAMS survey software.

Location

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
