Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet quality standards and presentation expectations
- Support the supervision of food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency
- Help manage kitchen operations, including organising ingredients and equipment for smooth workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent customer service in hospitality settings
- Support the training of junior staff and interns, fostering a positive team environment
- Contribute to menu planning and development under guidance from senior chefs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times during food handling and preparation
Requirements
- Previous experience in food production, kitchen work, or hospitality environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Competence in food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary practices
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy kitchen setting
