We are seeking a reliable and professional DPD Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels efficiently and safely to customers within designated areas. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to work in a dynamic logistics environment. A valid driver’s licence and previous delivery or warehouse experience are preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting.
Duties
- Safely operate a DPD van to deliver parcels to residential and commercial addresses within specified routes.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of packages, adhering to scheduled timings.
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from recipients, maintaining accurate records of all deliveries made.
- Assist with loading and unloading parcels, including heavy items, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all health and safety regulations during deliveries and while manoeuvring around the warehouse or delivery sites.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a courier or logistics company.
- Valid <PERSON> driver licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, demonstrating safe driving practices over long distances.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, especially in handling heavy lifting tasks.
- Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and prioritise deliveries.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with customers and team members professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of accuracy and safety standards.

Pay: £150.00-£180.00 per day
