Role: Investigations and Governance Officer
Salary: £42,203.35 (gross) per annum, with a fixed sum allowance of £1,195. There is the ability to progress to £48,595.86 over the next 3 years. There will also be an additional £3,760 London Weighting allowance if the role is based in London.
Current employees in banding 28-34 will maintain their existing salary.

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Investigations and Governance Officer. The post-holder will be responsible for conducting disciplinary investigations relating to individual members and/or groups of members, and preparing high-quality reports for the relevant decision-making panel (or panels). The post holder will also work with colleagues and stakeholders wherever necessary to effectively progress a caseload of investigations, which may include informal resolution of complaints. The post holder will also support and advise on governance matters, as may be required from time to time.
The successful candidate will have:
Knowledge of the values, aims, and structure of the Labour Party and/or other membership organisations- Strong knowledge and understanding of complaints, complaint investigation, and reaching appropriate outcomes
- Experience of conducting investigations, fact-finding, or similar case handling
- Strong ability to use technology to support compliance and administrative functions, including MS Office, Teams, and databases or case management systems
The Labour Party’s standard working arrangement is that all employees based in headquarters in London/Newcastle attend their contracted office four days per week, Monday to Thursday. Home working is only authorised on Fridays.
