Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile General Builder / Multi-Skilled Tradesperson to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality construction, renovation, and maintenance work across a variety of projects. Your expertise in multiple trades will ensure that tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, cabinetry, door hanging, and general woodwork with accuracy and attention to detail
- Carry out roofing repairs and installations, ensuring weatherproofing and structural integrity
- Execute construction painting projects, preparing surfaces and applying finishes to meet specifications
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems for both residential and commercial properties
- Conduct masonry work such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete finishing to support building foundations and features
- Utilize welding techniques for fabricating metal structures or repairing equipment as needed
- Handle electrical work within scope of experience, including wiring, fixture installation, and troubleshooting electrical issues
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete various tasks across multiple trades
- Support fabrication activities by creating custom components or modifications on-site or in the workshop
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining safety standards at all times
Experience
- Proven experience working as a general builder or multi-skilled tradesperson in construction or renovation projects
- Strong knowledge of carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and welding techniques
- Hands-on experience with hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, chisels; power tools including grinders, drills, saws; and fabrication equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret project specifications accurately
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues on-site
- Relevant certifications or licenses in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work (preferred but not mandatory)
