Job Summary
PFM Group are looking for a dedicated, hard-working Grounds Maintenance Operative to undertake various landscaping duties at our site in Stansted, CM22 6DR.
The role is largely autonomous with support from a roaming Contracts Manager, and will require the right trustworthy candidate with the both a strong work ethic, and level of experience in this field. It includes work in all weather conditions 40 hours per week over 5 days.
Duties
- Carry out regular grounds maintenance duties (grass cutting, strimming, hedge cutting, weed control, litter picking etc)
- Work autonomously, planning your own day and your own schedule based on client requirements and feedback from management.
- Maintain site presentation and take pride in your work.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and site requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify areas requiring attention or repair.
- Use hand tools for detailed gardening and horticultural work.
- Perform general maintenance duties including cleaning and maintaining your equipment and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Complete basic reporting via our JobWatch reporting system.
- Ensure all work areas are kept tidy and hazards are minimised.
About you
You will:
- Have previous grounds maintenance experience from a similar environment
- Be punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- Have a good work ethic and professional attitude
- Be confident liaising with clients and tenants professionally when required.
- Have good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to outdoor maintenance work
