Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Qualified Practitioner (who holds a relevant Childcare qualification at Level 3 or above). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves providing high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for babies and toddlers.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records of their development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the baby room, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support the emotional and social development of babies and toddlers through positive interactions.
Skills
- Be able to model good practice & show leadership skills to guide and mentor junior staff members effectively and support their professional development.
- Proven experience with children in a childcare or nursery setting and an appropriate childcare qualification is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
- A nurturing attitude towards childcare, demonstrating patience and understanding of children's needs.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
Requirements
- A current, relevant Childcare qualification at Level 3 or above as accepted by the Early years qualifications list: UK only - GOV.UK unless you hold a valid Early Years Statement.
