Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating favourable terms, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services essential to our operations. Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Negotiate contracts, prices, and delivery terms with suppliers to secure optimal value.
- Coordinate logistics and supply chain activities to ensure the seamless flow of materials.
- Analyse market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast needs and establish procurement priorities.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier information.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within a similar industry.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favourable terms.
- Sound understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain principles.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends effectively.
- Organised with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of building effective supplier relationships.
- Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous.
