Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Scaffold Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on various construction sites. Your energetic approach and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations and a secure working environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills across multiple trades while contributing to large-scale building projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the setup, dismantling, and inspection of scaffolding structures in accordance with safety standards and project specifications
- Support tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, masons, electricians, plumbers, and welders by providing safe access to elevated work areas
- Handle hand tools and power tools efficiently for tasks like cutting, fastening, and securing scaffold components
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by removing debris and ensuring all scaffolding parts are stored properly
- Follow all safety protocols diligently, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting hazards promptly
- Support fabrication tasks related to scaffolding components when required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of scaffold installation and dismantling processes
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in a labourer role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic construction practices is advantageous
- Knowledge of trades such as carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, or welding is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety guidelines meticulously
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights when necessary
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills within the construction industry
