JOB ADVERT: Service Manager – Birmingham Housing
About the Service
We are recruiting for an experienced Service Manager to lead a team based delivering a homeless accommodation service across the Birmingham area.
The service has a number of units of accommodation across the city, predominantly as Houses of Multiple Occupation. The service supports people with a range of needs - including mental health challenges, trauma, substance use, offending histories, reduced mobility or previous rough sleeping – to stabilise, maintain their accommodation and build the skills and confidence needed for independent living when accommodation becomes available.
You will manage a team of between 12 and 17 staff with a Team Leader reporting to you to support with line managing the staffing team. You will have responsibility for ensuring that the provision of support meets the requirements for Housing Benefit purposes to ensure that the customers within the service are receiving eligible support to assist with maintain their accommodation and sourcing move on permanent accommodation.
You will work with multiple agencies and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the service provided is high quality, holistic while meeting compliance and safety requirements.

Pay: Up to £32,000.00 per year
