We are seeking a versatile and motivated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Person/Retail Counter Sales Person/Relief Driver. Responsibilities
- Assist customers at the retail counter by providing friendly and professional service
- Manage stock levels, organise merchandise displays, and ensure the shop floor remains tidy and appealing
- Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems
- Upsell products where appropriate to maximise sales opportunities
- Support warehouse operations including receiving deliveries, organising stock, and maintaining inventory records
- Operate as a relief driver to deliver goods locally when required, adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Maintain excellent communication with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Utilise organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and manage time effectively during busy periods
- Demonstrate good phone etiquette when handling customer enquiries over the phone or via other communication channels
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Strong communication skills coupled with organisational abilities are essential for success in this role
- Basic maths skills are required for processing transactions and managing stock levels
- Experience with merchandising or upselling techniques will be considered an asset
- Proven time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively are important qualities for this position
