ASSISTANT HEAD HOUSEKEEPER
- Pay: Will reflect in experience
- Role type: Full time
- Start date: To be discussed at interview
- Location: The Rosevine, near Portscatho, Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall TR2 5EW
- Experience required: Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is helpful, but absolutely not essential - we welcome applications from anyone who is enthusiastic, dependable, and ready to learn.
The Opportunity
Imagine starting your working day steps from the Cornish coast, in one of the most beautiful corners of England. The Rosevine is a small, independent boutique hotel on the Roseland Peninsula - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - loved by families, couples and discerning guests who return year after year because of how the place makes them feel.
That feeling doesn’t happen by accident. It’s created by a warm, dedicated team who take genuine pride in their work. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of that - the person whose care and attention transforms a room into a guest’s home away from home.
"Come and be part of something special by the sea"
The Role
No two days are quite the same, but your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and presenting guest apartments, studios and the Lookout House to an exceptional standard
- Keeping public areas, lounges and outdoor spaces clean, welcoming and beautifully presented
- Spotting and reporting maintenance issues so guests never encounter a problem
- Managing lost property with care and accuracy
- Anticipating guest needs and responding to requests in a warm, professional way
- Supporting the wider team with training and quality checks
- Helping to keep guest and hotel property secure at all times
This is a physical, active role that calls for real attention to detail – The last thing you see is the first thing our guest sees.
About You
We’re not looking for a long CV. We’re looking for the right person. That means someone who:
- Takes genuine pride in their work and has an eye for the detail’s others miss
- Is reliable, punctual, and wants to be part of a team
- Is open to interacting with our guests, even if it is just a friendly hello when passing in the corridor
- Can work independently and manage their time well when the morning is busy
- Is comfortable with the physical demands of a hands-on cleaning role
Why The Rosevine?
