Special Needs Assistant
The Ridgeway School is a special school based in Farnham, Surrey catering for pupils with severe learning difficulties age 2-19 years. We have 110 pupils and approximately 85 staff.
The purpose of the role is to assist the teacher to maintain and develop the conditions that enable effective learning to take place.
It’s a term-time-only role (38.6 weeks per year), Monday to Friday, 8.50am to 3.25pm.
Actual salary is £17,230 - £18,103. We also offer an excellent pension scheme and a health cash plan. It’s a fun and lively place to work – and no two days are ever the same. No experience needed – the school will provide all the training you require.
The curriculum is wide and diverse, from English, maths and science to swimming, horse riding and soft play. As in any school, the children love PE, swimming, trips out, the Christmas play and the harvest festival – and the wonderful staff make it all possible.
If you would like to visit the school and/or have a chat, please contact Yasmine Prichard on 01252 724562 option 3.
