This Pick-Up Truck Technician role offers the chance to work independently as the primary technician on-site, providing servicing, diagnostics, and Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) of pick-up trucks and light commercial vehicles. Duties:
- Conduct servicing and maintenance on pick-up trucks and light commercial vehicles
- Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Diagnose and repair vehicle faults efficiently and accurately
- Provide technical updates and customer explanations when necessary
- Complete all paperwork swiftly and accurately
- Maintain a tidy and safe workshop environment
- Support workshop organisation and adhere strictly to health and safety protocols
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Participate in ongoing training and skills development programmes
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Commercial Vehicles)
- Proven experience working with pick-up trucks and light commercial vehicles such as Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200, or similar
- Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high standards of service
- Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet business needs
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
