Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Sports & Activity Coach to join our growing team.
This role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys delivering fun and engaging sports sessions, and takes pride in helping young people develop confidence, teamwork and a love for physical activity.
During term-time, you’ll be working within a primary school environment (occasionally up to Year 8), delivering high-quality PE and sports sessions, as well as supporting our wraparound care programme where active play is a key focus.
During school holidays, you’ll transition into our holiday camp programme, where, depending on experience, you will take on a Group Coach or Head Coach role, helping deliver or lead our camps.
We’re looking for an all-rounder: someone energetic, organised and passionate about sport who can inspire children and create a positive, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Term-Time (School-Based Role):
- Deliver engaging PE and sports sessions within a primary school setting
- Plan and lead fun, structured activities suitable for different age groups
- Support and lead active sessions within wraparound care
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship and full participation
- Create a safe, inclusive and positive environment
- Work collaboratively with school staff and our coaching team
School Holidays (Holiday Camps):
- Support or lead multi-activity holiday camps
- Deliver a wide range of sports, games and activities
- Take on additional responsibility as a Group Coach or Head Coach (depending on experience)
- Help create a fun, safe and memorable experience for all children
- Support team organisation, daily structure and activity delivery
Typical Weekly Schedule (Term-Time)
- Monday to Friday: Primary School PE / Sports Coaching
- Typical hours: 2:00pm/3:00pm – 5:30pm
- Additional hours may be available depending on business needs
School Holiday hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:30.
Skills & Experience Required
- Sports coaching qualification (or relevant experience)
- Experience working with primary school-aged children
- Passion for delivering a variety of sports and activities
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Positive, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
- Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player
- Commitment to inclusivity and sportsmanship
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience delivering PE in schools
- Safeguarding training (we provide training)
- First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain one)
- DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Pay: £14.00-£19.00 per hour
