Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Cargo Supervisor to oversee the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods within our logistics operations. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring safety standards, and optimising processes to enhance productivity. Duties
- Coordinate the daily processing of international cargo shipments from booking through to dispatch.
- Monitor cargo bookings, track shipment progress, and provide customers with updates on cargo status and delivery schedules.
- Check and verify shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations, and other transport records.
- Ensure cargo details are recorded accurately and maintain complete transport and distribution records.
- Coordinate the scheduling of cargo collections, deliveries, and dispatches to meet customer requirements.
- Oversee customer enquiries regarding cargo services, documentation, charges, and delivery arrangements.
Experience
- Demonstrated ability in process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures, including customs documentation if applicable.
