Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Volunteer Receptionist to join our organisation. Responsibilities
- Greet visitors warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls with courtesy and clarity, adhering to proper phone etiquette
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the organisation’s calendar efficiently
- Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks as required
- Assist with administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining organised records
- Support the team with general clerical tasks to facilitate daily operations
- Ensure the reception area remains tidy and welcoming at all times
Requirements
- Previous office or administrative experience is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is important
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets), and data entry software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good typing speed and accuracy for efficient data entry tasks
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and professional communication skills
- Administrative experience or familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently whilst being a reliable team player
- A proactive attitude with organisational skills that support smooth front-desk operations
