We are a busy city centre nursery who are looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner Apprentice to join our busy setting. The post would be full time, at least 9-5 Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime. The wage is an apprenticeship wage, which is currently £8 per hour, regardless of age.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in childcare and preferably some experience in the role. The role also requires the candidate to register with the PVG scheme and undergo a disclosure check. They will also need to register with the SSSC.
Our trainee's are treated much like other staff member long term and have a lot of the same responsibilities including paperwork such as planning and observations. A good grade in English is preferred but not necessary. This is a work based qualification and an assessor will visit you throughout your qualification. When completed between 12-18 months this will award you a SVQ level 3 in Social Services children and Young People, allowing you to be registered and employed as a qualified practitioner.
