We are looking for an experienced Site Fitter to join our team, working on commercial and construction projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience installing cladding, rainscreen systems and rainwater systems, with a strong focus on quality, safety and working efficiently on site.
You will be responsible for carrying out installation works to a high standard while working safely and effectively as part of a wider site team.
This role will require working away from home on a regular basis, and candidates must be willing to stay in company-arranged accommodation (digs) during project durations.
Key Responsibilities
- Installing external cladding systems to drawings and specifications.
- Fitting and installing rainscreen cladding systems.
- Installation of rainwater goods, including gutters, downpipes and associated systems.
- Reading and working from technical drawings and specifications.
- Measuring, cutting and installing materials accurately.
- Working with a range of hand and power tools.
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within programme deadlines.
- Working safely at height and following all site health and safety procedures.
- Working alongside other trades and site teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area.
- Reporting any issues, defects or material requirements to the Site Supervisor/Manager.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cladding / Rainscreen Fitter or Site Fitter.
- Experience fitting cladding and rainscreen systems.
- Experience installing rainwater systems.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Valid IPAF Licence.
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements.
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow installation details.
- Competent with hand and power tools.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work at height and in varying site conditions.
Desirable
- Additional relevant construction qualifications or tickets.
- PASMA.
- SSSTS or other site safety qualifications.
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction projects.
- Full UK driving licence.
