Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning for maintenance projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of projects by ensuring budgets are maintained and resources are optimised. Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for maintenance works using NHF/ SoR pricing.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle, ensuring adherence to budgets
- Conduct regular cost analysis and report on financial progress to stakeholders
- Manage tendering processes, including evaluating bids and negotiating VOs
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and project managers to ensure cost efficiency
- Implement effective cost control measures and identify potential financial risks
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects
- Assist in the preparation of contractual documentation and change order management
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal and safety standards in all financial aspects of projects
Skills
- Proven experience in cost control within the maintenance / small works industry
- Proven experience in raising VOs
- Working within the planned maintenance and responsive repairs
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency in relevant software such as MS Excel, CostX, or other estimating tools
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Pay: £60,000.00-£95,000.00 per year
