We are seeking a reliable and experienced low loader driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in safely loading and transporting a wide range of plant and equipment using step frame low loaders.
The workload comprises of a wide variety of abnormal loads from heavy plant, forestry and agricultural machinery to engineering and site equipment to sites around the uk.
Nights out and weekends will be necessary when required, this role has lots of overtime which varies daily as the workload dictates. We will train the correct candidate if required and pay will be commensurate to experience and ability, overtime will be paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
REQUIREMENTS
HGV class 1 license
DCPC card
Ability to conduct pre use checks and Operate vehicles safely and efficiently
Experience Loading, Securing and transporting a wide variety of abnormal loads
Ability to work alone and overcome various challenges
Willing to stay away in the vehicle when required
Basic mechanical knowledge
Must be able to look after the vehicle and keep in a clean and tidy condition
