We are looking for a full-time Barista to join a well-established venue in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, where carefully prepared coffee and a warm, professional welcome are at the centre of everything we do. This is a busy, customer-facing role suited to someone who takes real pride in their craft and enjoys creating a genuine experience for every guest.
Our venue is a favourite among business professionals who drop in during their breaks, hold informal meetings or work from our tables, as well as local customers who visit for speciality coffee, fresh smoothies, herbal teas and a wide wellness-focused drinks selection. About the opportunity
You will be part of a team that cares about presentation, consistency and service standards. Much of your day will involve speaking directly with customers seated at the counter, talking them through the drinks selection, offering thoughtful recommendations and preparing each order with care. Alongside this, you will keep drinks flowing efficiently for guests throughout the venue, staying calm and organised even at the busiest times.
Our drinks and wellness range includes speciality coffee and hot drinks, fresh smoothies, a broad choice of herbal teas, and optional additions such as whey protein, vegan protein, collagen peptides, creatine, electrolytes, spirulina, moringa, lion's mane mushroom powder, manuka honey and bee pollen. These form part of a varied, wellness-focused menu that our regulars enjoy exploring.
Pay and working hours
- £14.50 per hour for Monday to Friday shifts
- £15.50 per hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts
- 40 hours per week, scheduled on a rota
The venue operates Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. Shifts are scheduled within these hours, and you are guaranteed one full weekend off every month to support a healthy work-life balance.
What the Barista will be doing
- Preparing speciality coffee and hot drinks with care, consistency and attention to detail
- Serving customers at the counter and creating a welcoming, engaging experience
- Explaining the drinks and wellness selection clearly and making helpful recommendations
- Identifying suitable opportunities to suggest additions without being pushy
- Preparing fresh smoothies, herbal teas and health-focused drinks to a high standard
- Keeping drinks flowing efficiently for customers seated throughout the venue
- Maintaining excellent presentation on every drink you serve
- Upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the counter and work areas
- Restocking ingredients and keeping the service area tidy and well organised
- Working closely with the rest of the team to keep service running smoothly during peak periods
What we are looking for

Barista or hospitality experience is preferred but not essential, as full coffee and product training will be provided. If you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we would like to hear from you.
Training and development
We invest properly in our baristas. You will receive full in-house coffee training, detailed product and ingredient training, and coffee art training, all paid as part of your development. There are opportunities to work towards recognised coffee qualifications, and to visit other UK stores to learn from experienced coffee professionals.
For those who show the capability and commitment, there is scope to develop into Senior Barista, Supervisor or Store Manager positions, based on performance and business availability.
