Job Overview
Furniture Assembler positions are available for immediate start in our Warrenpoint factory which will offer opportunities to gain experience in furniture assembly, woodworking, upholstery, assembly, cutting edge machinery, stock control, loading and unloading of vehicles and other related tasks.
Further training in Forklift driving and First Aid at Work can also be achieved.
Duties
- Assemble furniture components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, diagrams, and technical drawings
- Use carpentry, woodworking, and fabrication skills to construct furniture pieces accurately
- Carry out manual handling of our products – lift, carry and move products as part of their regular duties and have good practical skills.
- Perform quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure durability and finish standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency
- Contributing to stock management, including undertaking regular stock takes, moving and arranging stock.
- Assist with loading completed furniture for delivery or storage as needed
- Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting, tool operation, and workplace hazards- Manufacturing high quality mattresses, divan bases & designer headboards.- Carry out manual handling of our products – lift, carry and move products as part of their regular duties and have good practical skills.
- Working as part of a team to ensure that customer orders are sent out with the correct items in a timely and efficient manner to help to maintain our high customer service levels.
Experience
- Proven experience in furniture fabrication or assembly preferred but training will be provided
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
- Knowledge of carpentry, woodworking is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or as part of a team
Schedules Available
Full Time – 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Part Time – Can be discussed with candidates.
