Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Amtico Certified Fitter to join our professional installation team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in flooring installation, with a focus on Amtico products, and demonstrate excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail. This role requires a skilled individual capable of working independently and efficiently to deliver high-quality results for our clients. The successful applicant will be responsible for installing, measuring, and finishing Amtico flooring in various commercial and residential settings.
Duties
- Accurately measure and prepare surfaces for Amtico flooring installation
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure precise fitting
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and lay flooring materials
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and ensuring surfaces are suitable for installation
- Apply adhesives and secure flooring in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the project
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely completion of work
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Amtico Certified Fitter or similar flooring installation role
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to flooring systems and tools
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as cutters, chisels, and screwdrivers
- Experience with power tools including saws, drills, and sanders
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- A commitment to health & safety regulations on site
