Due to our continued expansion, we are looking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Trainee Solicitor who is passionate about pursuing a career in criminal law.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking a training contract within a busy and supportive criminal defence practice, where you will gain hands-on experience and work alongside experienced solicitors and duty solicitors.
Who We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from candidates who:
- Have completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or are currently undertaking it, with a genuine desire to secure a training contract; or
- Have passed SQE1, SQE2, or both, or are currently studying towards either assessment, with a view to qualifying as a solicitor.

- Strong written and verbal English.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

The Role
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to:
- Assist solicitors with criminal cases from police station through to Crown Court.
- Draft legal documents, correspondence and applications.
- Prepare case files and review evidence.
- Attend conferences with clients and counsel.
- Observe and attend police stations and courts.
- Develop practical advocacy and case management skills.
- Work towards meeting the requirements of a solicitor training contract.
