Due to expanding contracts we are looking for two Improver Carpenters, ideally with 2-3 years experience and NVQ or equivalent to join the team.
We are a family run business with a varied Carpentry skillset from Apprentices through to fully skilled Carpenters.
You need to be skilled and experienced to a good level and able to work alongside others to continue to improve your skills but you will also be encouraged to take the lead in some tasks.
Competent in efficient setting out and first fix and some second fix skills essential. Ideally as a minimum you need to be fully competent in skirting, architrave and hanging doors.
We have varied ongoing work, loft conversions, extensions and full refurbishment, you will further progress with your carpentry skills whilst also gaining experience and an understanding of steels / building control liaison etc.
Able to work as part of a team as well on your own initiative - your efficiency and attention to detail and completion of tasks to a high standard is key.
As Main Contractor on our own projects you need to be prepared to work with other trades and carry out duties to assist the smooth running of the job.
Ongoing work on various projects in Brighton, Goring, Hassocks and surrounding areas.
Own tools (110v) and own transport essential.
Reliability and time-keeping essential
CSCS card advantageous - support provided to obtain this if you do not currently hold one.
Working for family business with 25 years experience, trading on reputation and customer service. This is a long term position, full-time. Our working hours are Monday to Friday 07.45-16.30. We operate CIS. Uniform provided.
