We are recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join our highly trained and caring team at Stilecroft Care Home, situated in Stainburn
Hours: Part Time / Full Time , includes weekends between 7am - 6pm
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role involves the following duties & responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all floors and surfaces.
- Remove rubbish in accordance with waste disposal policy
- Fully clean vacated rooms ready for new residents.
- Clean and store domestic equipment correctly.
- Observe and comply with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Undertake laundry duties in the absence of laundry staff.
- Be aware of the homes’ policies and procedures.
- Complete charts / documentation, where necessary
- Ensure correct handling and dilution of cleaning materials to C.O.S.H.H. standards.
The list of duties is not exhaustive, but outlines the main regular parts of the role. Other reasonable duties may be requested by home manager or senior members of staff.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role is a distinct advantage, however entry-level candidates will be considered as full training is provided.
- Although previous experience is not essential, all applicants must be reliable and have strong communication skills.
- DBS Enhanced Disclosure and suitable references are essential. If you already have an Enhanced Disclosure dated within the last 3 months this is transferable. The Employer has claimed an exception under the Equality Act 2010.
