Duties
- Erect and dismantle advanced scaffolding structures with precision and adherence to safety standards
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical plans to assemble scaffolding tailored to project specifications
- Inspect scaffolding components regularly for damage or wear, ensuring ongoing safety and compliance
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate the safe movement of materials and personnel across scaffolding platforms
- Utilize a wide range of hand tools and power tools for fabrication, adjustments, and repairs of scaffolding components
- Apply skills in carpentry, roofing, masonry, welding, plumbing, electrical work, and fabrication as needed during scaffold setup or modifications
- Maintain detailed records of scaffolding inspections, modifications, and safety checks to ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an advanced scaffolder with a strong background in construction environments
- Demonstrated proficiency in carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and fabrication techniques
- Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools essential for scaffold assembly and maintenance
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to scaffolding installation and working at heights (e.g., OSHA standards)
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret engineering plans accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency in high-pressure situations
- Valid certifications in scaffolding or relevant trade-specific credentials are highly desirable
