Location: Sheerness & Rochester, Kent
Shift Pattern: 176 hours per month (avg of 11 shifts plus sleep-ins)

Essential Qualification – Please Read Before Applying
A Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare (or an equivalent recognised qualification) is an essential requirement for this position.
Unfortunately, applications from candidates who do not already hold this qualification cannot be considered.

About the Role
Working within one of our Ofsted-regulated children's residential homes, you'll provide high-quality care and support for children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs.

Your Responsibilities
- Provide safe, consistent and nurturing care for children and young people
- Build positive, trusting and professional relationships
- Support education, daily routines, appointments and recreational activities
- Encourage independence, confidence and life skills
- Provide emotional support and positive guidance
- Act as a Key Worker and contribute to care planning and reviews
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times
- Work closely with colleagues, families, social workers and other professionals
- Help create a stable, caring environment where young people can thrive
What We're Looking ForEssential
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Aged 21 or over
- Full UK driving licence
- Access to your own vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
- Caring, resilient and positive attitude
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Desirable
- Previous experience within a children's residential home
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural needs
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and child-centred practice
