Driver / Loft Installer
Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire
Salary: £36,000 per year PAYE, plus performance bonuses
Contract: Full-time, permanent

Due to expansion, ReLoft U.K. Ltd is looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking Driver / Loft Installer to join our growing installation team.
The role involves travelling from our Northallerton depot to customers’ homes across North Yorkshire and surrounding areas, completing loft-insulation, clearance, ventilation and boarding work to a high standard.
Main duties
- Driving a company van to and from customer properties
- Collecting the van, materials and equipment from our Northallerton depot
- Removing old, damaged or contaminated loft insulation
- Installing new loft insulation to the required depth
- Installing raised loft boarding systems
- Fitting loft ventilation products and clearing blocked eaves
- Assisting with loft clearances and waste removal
- Protecting customers’ homes and belongings while work is completed
- Taking before-and-after photographs
- Completing job sheets and installation records
- Maintaining tools, equipment and the company vehicle
- Following all health-and-safety procedures
- Providing a polite and professional service to customers
Essential requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Ideally a clean licence; applicants with up to 3 penalty points may be considered, subject to company vehicle-insurance approval
- Confident driving a long-wheelbase panel van
- Physically fit and comfortable working in loft spaces
- Able to lift insulation, boards, equipment and waste safely
- Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Professional and respectful when working in customers’ homes
- Able to travel to the Northallerton depot independently each working day
- Must live locally or have reliable personal transport, as the company van is collected from and returned to the depot
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK
Experience
Previous experience in loft insulation, loft boarding, construction, roofing, joinery, removals or property maintenance would be preferred.
However, full training can be provided to the right person who has a strong work ethic, practical ability and willingness to learn.

Working pattern
The role is primarily Monday to Friday, although working hours may vary depending on travel, job size and customer requirements.
Occasional early starts, late finishes or weekend work may be offered where required.
Self-employed CIS applicants
Applications may also be considered from genuinely self-employed CIS subcontractors with suitable experience, insurance, tools and the ability to work independently.
Any CIS arrangement would be subject to:
- HMRC CIS verification
- Appropriate public liability insurance
- Evidence of competence and relevant training
- A separate subcontractor agreement
- Confirmation that the working arrangement is genuinely self-employed
