At Kidney Cancer UK, we’ve been at the forefront of patient care and advocacy for over 25 years. As the UK’s leading kidney cancer charity, we support thousands of patients, families, and carers every month, and we’re expanding our dedicated Healthcare Professional Team.
We’re looking for a dynamic, patient-centred nurse who’s passionate about education, empowerment, and meaningful connection. If you’re ready to use your clinical knowledge in new, flexible, and impactful ways - this is the role for you.
You will:
- Be a friendly, expert voice on our Support Line for patients and families seeking guidance and reassurance.
- Build strong partnerships with NHS cancer centres and clinical teams - ensuring more patients are connected with our services.
- Lead and participate in online and in-person support groups and events, helping to bring community and confidence to those affected by kidney cancer.
- Actively engage in our online communities, including moderating and commenting in closed Facebook groups.
- Represent the charity in wider cancer advocacy work- including writing for NICE submissions (training provided) and participating in national groups like Cancer52.
- Help keep our patient resources up to date and relevant, working closely with the wider healthcare and comms teams.
- Support marketing outreach, using your voice and experience to help us reach even more healthcare professionals across the UK.
We’re looking for:
- A Registered General Nurse (NMC pin preferred) with at least 3 years of experience
- Someone passionate about kidney cancer care or oncology (experience helpful but not essential - training provided)
- Confident in public speaking, presenting, and building relationships
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using social media and digital platforms
- Willing to travel occasionally within the UK (and rarely abroad)
- A team player with a positive, proactive mindset
- Preferably based within a commutable distance to Woking/Guildford, but not essential
Why join Kidney Cancer UK?
