We're looking for an experienced Head Waiter / Assistant Manager who is passionate about hospitality, leads by example, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. This is a hands-on leadership role with excellent opportunities for growth within an ambitious team.
The Role
As our Head Waiter / Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences while supporting the day-to-day running of the restaurant. You'll work closely with the management team to lead service, develop the team, and ensure consistently high standards across every shift.
Responsibilities
- Lead service on the floor, ensuring every guest receives warm, attentive, and professional hospitality.
- Support the Restaurant Manager with the daily operation of the restaurant.
- Motivate, coach, and develop front-of-house team members through positive leadership.
- Conduct pre-service briefings and maintain high standards throughout service.
- Ensure food and drinks are served accurately, efficiently, and to brand standards.
- Handle guest feedback professionally, resolving issues with confidence and care.
- Support training and onboarding of new team members.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily administration where required.
- Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and organisation.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen and wider Liberty teams to ensure seamless service.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Supervisor, or Assistant Manager in a quality restaurant.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and support a team.
- Calm under pressure with excellent organisational skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Good knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy trading periods.
