Summary
We are seeking Care Assistants to join our bank to work alongside our friendly team at Drake Nursing Home in Stoke, Plymouth. In this vital role, you will contribute to the well-being of our residents by providing high-quality personal care and support, ensuring they feel valued and respected in their daily lives.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Develop and maintain individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive environment.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in resident areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Engage residents in social activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to deliver exceptional care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar role within a care home setting is essential.
- Strong understanding of dementia care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others.

- Two satisfactory references and a full enhanced DBS is required for this post.
