Job Location: Brindleyplace, Birmingham, B1 2JB, Hybrid working
Salary: £33,400 - £37,662
Contract type: Permanent

About the role
GreenSquareAccord is looking for an experienced and motivated Planning Team Leader to lead, coach and support a team of Planners within our Repair Operations service.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with substantial planning and scheduling experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership, or for an existing team leader who wants to make a visible impact in a busy and evolving service.
You will manage a team of Planners, helping them perform at their best while ensuring repairs, maintenance, voids, servicing and compliance work is planned effectively and progressed within the required timescales.
This is primarily a people-management role. You will set clear expectations, develop your team, drive performance and create a positive and accountable working environment. You will also work closely with operational colleagues and other Planning Team Leaders to respond to changing demand, resolve issues and continually improve the service we provide to customers.
Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.
What You`ll Be Doing
You will provide day-to-day leadership and management for a team of Planners supporting one or more areas of our Planning service.
- Leading, coaching and supporting a team of Planners.
- Holding regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, wellbeing conversations and development discussions.
- Managing attendance, annual leave, recruitment, induction, probation, training, capability and conduct matters, with support from the Planning Manager.
- Allocating work to Planners in line with demand, customer needs, operational priorities and available capacity.
- Monitoring overdue work, Planner productivity, workload progression, process compliance and data quality.
- Using performance information to identify risks, pressures and opportunities for improvement.
- Providing clear feedback, support and appropriate challenge where expectations are not being met.
- Attending operational and stakeholder meetings and representing the Planning function.
- Working collaboratively with other Planning Team Leaders to share resources, manage competing priorities and maintain consistent ways of working.
- Supporting the resolution of escalated customer enquiries, complaints, missed appointments and service failures.
- Ensuring agreed procedures, service standards, compliance requirements and safety controls are followed.
- Identifying recurring problems and helping to introduce improved processes, systems and ways of working.
- Escalating higher-profile, complex or sensitive matters to the Planning Manager when appropriate.
Although you will normally be responsible for one or two particular workstreams, flexibility is important. Priorities can change quickly, and you will support the wider Planning function by helping to move resources and respond to demand where required.
Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require evidence of the required certificates and qualifications for this role. Without this evidence, you would be unable to commence employment at GreenSquareAccord.
