Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Workshop Administrator to join our team during night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop operations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth communication between departments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in warehouse management, supply chain, or automotive service environments to utilise their skills in a dynamic setting. The Workshop Administrator will play a pivotal role in maintaining efficiency, overseeing shipping and receiving processes, and supporting workshop activities through data entry and administrative support. Experience with TOPS, Asset Minder and equipment repair will be highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop operations during night shifts, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and safely.
- Utilise Asset Minder and TOPS to update records, track inventory levels, and generate reports.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure availability of parts and materials needed for workshop activities.
- Maintain accurate data entry related to work orders, inventory movements, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Support automotive service activities by organising schedules and liaising with technicians.
- Handle customer service inquiries related to workshop operations professionally and promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, or automotive service environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with TOPS is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Asset Minder software for maintenance management will be advantageous.
- Practical mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment repair is beneficial.
- Previous exposure to supply chain management or shipping & receiving processes is desirable.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail are essential.
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus.
- Excellent organisational skills combined with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively during night shifts.
- Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism in handling inquiries or complaints is advantageous.
