Outline of Job requirements
The Quality Control Inspector will work as part of the Quality team to ensure that the products manufactured and supplied by Bolt and Nut Manufacturing, meet and exceed our customers’ requirements. To maintain quality records and work fully to the guidelines set out in our quality system.
Duties to include but not limited to;
- Inspection of incoming Stock
- Inspection of goods being sent to or returned from Sub Contract Suppliers
- Inspection of machined items, to include first off, patrol and final inspection.
- Final inspection of goods, before they are released for despatch to the customer
- To provide cover and assistance to other members of the Quality Department
- All other suitable tasks that the Quality Director/Manager instructs the Inspector to carry out.
- Conduct Hardness Testing
- Assist with Calibration system maintenance
Essential Requirements
Experience using thread gauges, micrometres, thread micrometres and shadowgraph.
Knowledge of inspection techniques and experience of maintaining quality records.
Good level of education and computer skills
Able to read and interpret international standards and technical drawings
Preferred Requirements
A good knowledge of threaded fasteners would be an advantage.
Hours of Work
40 hours per week flexible working (core hours Mon-Fri 09:00 - 15:00)
