Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Cleaner to join our team for scheduled cleaning sessions on Mondays and Thursdays from 4pm to 8pm. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in commercial premises, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers consistent part-time hours with an opportunity to contribute to a professional and well-maintained workspace.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial areas, including offices, restrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum floors, and dust surfaces to ensure cleanliness.
- Sanitize high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and communal equipment.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning to the supervisor.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times during cleaning procedures.
- Maintain organised cleaning equipment and supplies in designated storage areas.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of hygiene.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable and punctual with good organisational skills.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting light equipment or supplies.
