A great opportunity has arisen for an Administration Assistant to join our Commercial department in Newcastle on a part-time basis. We're looking for an experienced administrator to support fee earners across the department in delivering an exceptional service to our clients. You'd be required to provide support over 2.5 days (Wednesday 12:15 - 5pm and Thursday & Friday 9:00am - 5pm).
What will I be doing

Opening and closing client files and maintaining accurate information relating to clients and their matters.

Liaising with clients to obtain instructions and ensuring all anti-money laundering documentation is completed in compliance with SRA requirements.

Undertaking conflict checks under the guidance of a fee earner.

Preparing expenses claims on behalf of fee earners.

Using precedents to prepare and draft documents as directed and supervised by fee earners.

Providing fast and accurate typed material including formatting and house-styling documents as required.

Completing general ad hoc administrative duties, including photocopying and scanning as and when required by the team.

Maintaining efficient filing and administration systems that allow for prompt retrieval of information and material.

Proficiency in MS Office and good all-round IT skills

The ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, and manage your time effectively.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Previous legal administration experience would be advantageous but not essential.
