We are a residential care home based in Sutton Coldfield that cater to young adults between the ages of 16-24 who suffer with mental health diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, OCD, Self-Harm, Addiction etc. as well as physical health conditions, emotional and behavioural difficulties etc.
We are looking for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to work closely with our young people to enable them to attain a good standard of living, inclusive of maintaining their personal care and hygiene, nutrition, sleep, activities, hobbies, interests, education and career opportunities.
As a Healthcare Assistant / Support Worker, you will be supporting young people within the home to promote and improve their quality of living. Your duties will involve supporting with daily living, education, activities, any use of clinical equipment, domestic tasks, medication administration, and providing personal centred support in line with the support plan.
Due to the nature of your job, we need someone who is reliable, compassionate, professional, dedicated and highly motivated to join our diverse team. A minimum of at least 6 months care experience or previous experience as a support worker is desirable, notably in the areas of autism, mental health, learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. A level 2 QCF/NVQ in health and social care or equivalent is desired but not essential.
This job requires you to be flexible and work alternate weekends (this can sometimes be one weekend a month).

Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred, particularly with young people or in residential care settings.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as part of the role.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and communicating effectively is advantageous.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
