Quantity Surveyor

My client is a well-established and growing carpentry and joinery contractor based in Weybridge, Surrey. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
Working across high-quality residential, commercial, and fit-out projects, this is an excellent opportunity to join a respected business with a reputation for delivering exceptional craftsmanship and outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing project costs from inception through to final account
- Preparing valuations, variations, and cost reports
- Producing accurate forecasts and commercial reports
- Reviewing contracts and subcontractor agreements
- Managing applications for payment and final accounts
- Monitoring project profitability and commercial performance
- Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams
- Supporting the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- A background in carpentry and joinery is essential
- Strong commercial awareness and contract knowledge
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ideally located within approximately 45 minutes of Weybridge, Surrey
Desirable Qualifications
- SMSTS certification
- CSCS card
- Experience working on high-end residential, commercial, or fit-out projects
