Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lumsden Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating grinding machinery to ensure precise components, adhering to safety standards and quality specifications. Duties
- Operate and monitor Lumsden grinding machines to achieve specified tolerances and surface finishes.
- Set up grinding equipment, including selecting appropriate tooling for optimal performance.
- Conduct routine inspections of components using hand tools and precision measuring devices to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform basic maintenance on grinding machinery, including lubrication and troubleshooting equipment issues
- Utilise power tools and hand tools minor repairs as required.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as material handling when necessary.
Qualification
- Familiarity with grinding processes and the use of power tools, hand tools, and tooling equipment.
- Knowledge of basic math skills for measurement and calculations.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise work consistently.
- Good organisational skills with the capacity to follow safety procedures diligently.
- Previous experience working with warehouse operations or in a manufacturing setting is preferred but not essential.
