Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Weekend Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service, creating high-quality beverages, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Responsibilities
Make basic baguette/toasties to order, serve homemade pâtisserie
Hours 9am -5 pm Saturday
11 am - 3pm
Must be available for all hours
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, adhering to company standards.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and service.
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service to enhance their experience.
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including handling payments and giving correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including counters, tables, and equipment, ensuring a tidy workspace at all times.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
Skills
- Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food handling.
- Experience in serving customers efficiently with a friendly attitude.
- Basic maths skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy.
- Food preparation skills to assist with light food items if required.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively without compromising service quality.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills to keep the workspace clean and supplies well-stocked during busy weekends.
