Job Description – Mobile Cleaner (Scotland)
Job Title: Mobile Cleaner
Location: Various sites across Scotland, with Rosyth Dockyard as the base location when no mobile site cover is required.
Salary: £14 - £14.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day. Flexible shift patterns to meet operational requirements.
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Mobile Cleaner to support cleaning operations across several small sites throughout Scotland. The successful candidate will travel between locations, carrying out cleaning duties to a high standard and ensuring client premises remain clean, safe, and presentable.
When there are no scheduled visits to client sites, the successful candidate will be based at Rosyth Dockyard, carrying out cleaning duties and supporting the site cleaning team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, is flexible with travel, and takes pride in delivering excellent cleaning standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties at various customer sites across Scotland.
- Clean offices, welfare facilities, canteens, washrooms, corridors, and communal areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and sanitise surfaces.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with site procedures.
- Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Complete all assigned cleaning schedules and tasks within agreed timescales.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure cleaning supplies are stocked appropriately.
- Report any maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns to management.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures, including COSHH requirements.
- Support cleaning operations at Rosyth Dockyard when mobile site attendance is not required.
- Represent the company professionally when working at client locations.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Confident and comfortable driving a small to medium-sized van.
- Ability and willingness to travel to sites across Scotland.
- Previous commercial cleaning experience.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work.
- Good communication skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience in a mobile cleaning role.
- Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.
- Experience working within industrial, construction, or secure environments.
