HC Group is looking for a friendly, proactive and customer-focused After-Sales Customer Service Assistant to join our team in Stockton-on-Tees.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, after-sales support or customer retention who enjoys building positive relationships with customers and ensuring they receive an excellent experience after their purchase.
The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting customers, resolving queries and helping to maintain long-term customer relationships.
The Role
As an After-Sales Customer Service Assistant, your main responsibility will be to provide a high standard of customer care once a customer has made a purchase.
You will be responsible for:
- Responding to customer enquiries by telephone, email and other communication channels.
- Handling after-sales queries professionally and efficiently.
- Following up with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their purchase and service.
- Dealing with customer concerns, complaints and issues, working towards positive resolutions.
- Maintaining regular contact with customers and building strong, professional relationships.
- Identifying opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and encourage customer retention.
- Supporting customers with product/service information and resolving any questions they may have.
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure customer issues are dealt with promptly.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date customer records.
- Following up on outstanding customer issues and ensuring they are resolved within appropriate timescales.
- Identifying recurring customer issues and providing feedback to management.
- Helping to create a positive customer experience that encourages repeat business and long-term loyalty.
- Carrying out general customer service and administrative duties as required.About You

- Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable using computer systems and maintaining accurate customer records.
- Commercially aware, with an understanding of the importance of customer satisfaction and retention.
Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Experience dealing directly with customers.
- Experience in after-sales, customer retention or customer relationship management.
Desirable:
- Experience in a sales, service or account-management environment.
- Experience handling complaints and resolving customer issues.
- Experience working towards customer satisfaction or retention targets.
