We are looking for a reliable, hardworking General Maintenance Assistant to join our team, supporting a range of soft refurbishment projects across our hotel. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys a varied workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with internal refurbishment and property improvement works.
- Basic painting and decorating preparation and finishing.
- Removing and replacing fixtures and fittings.
- Carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
- Moving materials, furniture, and equipment safely.
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and organised.
- Following health and safety procedures at all times.
- Supporting skilled tradespeople as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in general maintenance, property repairs, or refurbishment is desirable.
- Practical DIY or trade skills
- Attention to detail.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Full UK driving licence preferred (or essential if travel between sites is required).
Pay: £12.71 per hour
