The Opportunity
A leading construction specialist is seeking an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a major External Wall Insulation (EWI) and Façade Remediation project in Cardiff.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious construction professional with experience in cladding, façade, remediation, retrofit, or external envelope projects who is looking to progress their career within a growing and highly respected contractor.
Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the project.
- Oversee subcontractors carrying out EWI, façade, cladding and remediation works.
- Monitor site progress and ensure programmes are maintained.
- Carry out regular quality inspections and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Coordinate labour, materials and site logistics.
- Maintain site records, reports and documentation.
- Identify and resolve operational issues to minimise delays.
- Liaise effectively with residents, clients, consultants and subcontractors where required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within construction, ideally on EWI, cladding, façade, remediation, retrofit or external envelope projects.
- Experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor, Foreman or similar role.
- Good understanding of construction sequencing, quality assurance and health & safety requirements.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme targets.
- Professional and proactive approach to site management.
Essential Qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

- PAS 2030/2035 retrofit environments.
- Occupied residential buildings.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
