We’re looking for a full time skilled pastry chef to join our pastry team on a maternity leave- fixed term contract for 9-12 months.
You will be making cakes, traybakes and patisserie for our retail shops and wholesale customers, as well as celebration/wedding cakes and seasonal specials. This role is based in our Gosforth High Street production kitchen.
The person we’re looking for has some really solid pastry experience in a professional kitchen or restaurant with that eye for detail and consistency that marks out the best in this field. You’ll be pastry trained through college or substantial on the job experience and work really effectively in a busy team. We’re looking for pace, initiative and an ambitious attitude to making the best products for our loyal and lovely customers.

We offer 8 hour shifts with very limited overtime to keep your work life balance intact. A bit of flexibility in shift times will be required, and some Saturday working. You must be able to start from as early as 5am and as late is 4pm depending on the schedule.
