Job Title: English Tutor
Overview:
Due to the retirement of a long serving staff members, we have vacancies across our Barnsley North and Holmfirth centres for inspirational, experienced part-time English tutors, potentially able to teach up to A-Level. The ideal candidates will have a passion for teaching and possess strong communication skills. The roles offer the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' learning and development.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver small group, individual tutoring sessions for KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5) students
- Create tailored lesson plans to meet each student's individual needs
- Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and teachers to provide feedback on student performance
- Utilise tutoring techniques to support students with diverse learning needs
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children in an educational setting
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to candidate's area of specialism
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage students effectively
- Strong organisational skills to plan lessons and track student progress

Pay: £25.00-£55.00 per hour
