We are seeking a skilled Contracts Supervisor to join our Arboriculture division at our
Central Scotland depot. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of our
landscaping projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients. Your expertise will
contribute significantly to our mission of becoming the leading company in the landscaping
& Arboriculture sectors.
Duties:
- Supervising day-to-day arboriculture operations across allocated sites and contracts.
- Coordinating work crews and ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to
- specification.
- Conducting on-site risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensuring compliance with
- health and safety policies.
- Monitoring the quality and progress of work, resolving site issues as they arise, and
- reporting to the Regional Manager.
- Managing and supporting operatives on site, including overseeing attendance,
- performance, and adherence to procedures.
- Assisting the Regional manager in keeping the client informed regarding site delivery
- and contract performance.
- Ensuring that all tools, equipment, and vehicles are used correctly, safely, and
- maintained to company standards.
- Completing required paperwork, reports, and site documentation in a timely and
- accurate manner.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure efficient delivery of works and resource
- coordination.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
- NPTC/LANTRA Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (CS38)
- NPTC/LANTRA Chainsaw from Rope and Harness (CS39)
- NPTC/LANTRA Aerial Tree Pruning (CS40) and Aerial Tree Rigging (CS41)
- NPTC/LANTRA Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting (CS30) and Felling &
- Processing Trees up to 380mm (CS31)
- Full UK Driving Licence (B + ideally BE trailer entitlement)
- Thorough knowledge of tree species, pests, and diseases
- Experience supervising arboricultural teams and coordinating site operations
- Understanding of health & safety legislation, LOLER, PUWER, and industry best
- practice (AFAG/FISA guidance)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple contracts

- Excellent communication skills for client liaison and team leadership
Desirable Qualifications:
- Level 3 or above in Arboriculture or Forestry
- LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection (PTI) or equivalent
- First Aid at Work + Forestry First Aid (EFAW+F)
- SMSTS or SSSTS Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme
- LOLER inspection qualification
- Experience with contract management systems and reporting
This job will involve some nightshifts due to the nature of the works. These are pre-
programmed with adequate notice given.
