Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. Duties
- Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences.
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and aromatherapy massages.
- Develop personalised treatment plans aimed at alleviating pain, reducing stress, and improving mobility.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic workspace in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of treatments provided and client progress.
- Educate clients on post-treatment care and recommend appropriate follow-up sessions or self-care routines.
- Promote wellness programmes and additional services offered by the clinic to enhance client experience.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and sanitised after each use.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with relevant qualifications recognised by the appropriate regulatory body.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen attentively and provide empathetic client care.
- Ability to adapt treatments based on individual client needs and preferences.
- Certification in first aid is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience working in a spa or wellness centre is advantageous but not mandatory for newly qualified therapists willing to learn on the job.
